Last night Adam and I were watching The Voice, it was more like I was watching it, but (and I know that this is not funny, but when I explain it to you, you’ll understand) the girl who was singing said that it was painful for her to hit the high notes because of her nodes.
Well, Adam and I turned to each other and said, “vocal nodules.” And then I said, “your vocal chords rubbing together at above average rates without proper lubrication!”
And then Adam and I cracked up.
Which made me realize how much I need to watch Pitch Perfect again!
And for all of you who do not know, the above quote is from Pitch Perfect, one of the best movies ever!
This weekend was a mix of high and low points. Even though it wasn’t the most awesome weekend ever, I still could have used some more of it.
Watching Pitch Perfect, Catch Me If You Can, Patton, and The Brave One
Crocheting: I did a lot of crocheting this weekend because it is one of the only things that doesn’t make my shoulder worse (post to come soon)
Games: Adam and I played a lot of games together this weekend and we got to hang out with some good friends, Jacob and Lauren to play games also
Pan Pizza from Dominos with a gift card
Shoulder pain all the time
Not being able to sleep for most of the weekend
movies that weren’t as good as I was expecting
Having a wonderful blog post written about preparing myself for church and having it deleted and the draft not even saved
Never winning a pioneer woman contest
Last week I bought a box of popcorn (my favorite treat) and there were two codes for free redbox rentals. So last night I rented Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter because it has been on my “to watch list” forever now.
Almost a year ago I read the book written by Seth Grahame-Smith and I absolutely loved it. Ever since then I have been waiting to see the movie. I didn’t get to go see it in theatre and every time I have gone to check it out it isn’t there. And last night I went to two redbox machines until I found it.
I really enjoyed the movie for it’s action and fight scenes, but I enjoyed the book for its more extensive plot.
It was a fun telling of Abraham Lincoln’s history. I really thought it was a fun story and really enjoyed it. Also, the actor they got to play Lincoln is perfect.
So glad I finally got to check this movie off of my list.
And since it has been snowing this weekend, I have watched: The Dark Knight, lots of Big Bang Theory, The Dark Knight Rises, and Pitch Perfect, again. And who knows what tomorrow will hold.
Coming soon: my weekend craft fail!
